International flights from the Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos and Nnamdi Azikwe airport in Abuja will resume on September 5, 2020.
Minister of aviation, Hadi Sirika announced this development in a tweet via his official Twitter handle.
He said “I am very glad to announce the reopening of Abuja and Lagos airports for international flights for the 5th of December, 2020. We remain grateful for your understanding and patience towards our collective safety.”
Recall that airports were closed as part of efforts to contain the spread of the pandemic. As cases reduced, the government announces a gradual reopening of the airports with domestic flights.
